Starting in 2000, the Zorig Foundation started
giving scholarships to bright and successful
students who were financially underprivileged.
Over the past 10 years, this program has helped
about 600 students to complete their education
while engaging in their communities. All scholarships
are directed at helping students complete
their education while becoming more socially
aware. In exchange for partial or full awards,
recipients work on community projects and
regularly report their academic standing.
. The program funded by foreign charitable
organizations and private corporations including
The Swiss Development Agency for Cooperation,
Rio Tinto Mongolia, LG International’s Mongolia
branch, and Osaka Rotary, among others.
