Memories

"Unlike our older brother and me, brother Zorig was a stubborn and self-willed child. When I was told to have an injection, I took it without any problem. Brother Zorig, however, did not want it and sat under a bed holding a big clock in his hand threatening to break the clock if he were injected."

Sister S. Oyun

"When my father was a post-graduate student in Moscow he took my mom and me to Moscow. We did not tell Zorig and when the train started moving my parents had taken me into the compartment through a window. Then Zorig got very angry and threw on the platform two kilograms of chocolates that my mom and dad bought for him. I remember well that Oyun stayed smiling and waving."

Brother S. Bayar

"Late Zorig did well in school, particularly in math and physics. Once he placed second or third in the Physics Olympiad. When he participated for the first time in the sports gymnastics championship organized by the Horschoolol sport society he placed first in his category since he had been doing gymnastics whenever he had free time. For a week or ten days his brother Bayaraa and his teacher Baavlai trained him day and night. The stretching exercises were most difficult for him. Even during classes he would practice those exercises. He had good coordination skills. This was evident when he was a university student. When he studied in Moscow we used to play football and rugby. Zorig even played in the rugby team of the Moscow State University."
