One of the most efficient ways to fight corruption
is to create a hostile climate for corrupt
practice by informing young people through
seminars, lectures, essay and report competitions,
and themed meeting between young people.
In 2005, Students shared opinions through
the an essay contest on the theme of “Corruption
in the education sector and its effects on
Mongolia’s development.” In 2006, academics
competed in a lecture competition denouncing
corruption, and the best six essays were published
in daily newspapers and were made available
to local NGOs, civil society organizations,
and students organizations.
450 Artists competed in an open contest to
portray anti-corruption ideas through radio,
video clips, posters, TV programs, and in
newspapers. From those artists, 410 works
continue to be used by media organizations
and NGOs to educate the public about corruption.
The posters have found wide exposure – as
a book entitled “Corruption is Not Forever”
and copied for display, and were also displayed
in cities throughout Switzerland.
